- Upland Hunter SearchA United Kennel Club/Hunting Retriever club title used as a prefix. Dogs do not have to have earned championship points in any other regular hunt test in order to participate in the upland test. This title is achieved upon attaining 40 Upland Hunter Championship points. Upland points only count toward the Upland Hunter Title and HRC’s 500/1000-point clubs. The test consists of a simulated walk-up hunt, a quartering test and an optional tracking test. Dogs must be steady to wing and shot and return to the previous hunting range upon being called by voice or whistle. The dog must hunt all available cover diligently and be under control. Honoring of another dog is required. During the test the dog will be required to locate and retrieve game as directed by the judges.
